Brand videos — bumper & generated clips

In the command bar (typed or spoken):

• “make a brand bumper”
• “generate a brand bumper saying command your agents” — the phrase becomes the subtitle

About a minute later a 5-second, 720p title bumper lands on the canvas as a video pane and is saved into the workspace’s attachments: your background color, an accent sweep, your brand name in your heading font with a glowing underline, and the tagline.

Brand-exact, not brand-ish

Generated images match your brand; the bumper is your brand — a deterministic template filled with the Brand Kit’s literal values (Settings → Brand: name, colors, fonts). No generation API, no cost, same pixels every render.

Generated clips — “generate a video of …”

The second kind of brand video is AI-generated:

• “generate a video of the fortress at dawn”
• “make me a video about the launch”
• “video: waves on a neon shore”

Your Brand Kit brief rides along like it does for images, so clips lean toward your palette and style. Generation runs through OpenRouter’s video API (same OPENROUTER_API_KEY as images — models like Veo and Sora) and takes a few minutes; the finished clip lands on the canvas as a video pane and is saved into the workspace’s attachments.

Costs are real money — more than images. The daily media budget applies, estimates above your confirm threshold show the confirm card first, and the toast reports the actual billed cost when the provider discloses it. Agents can request clips too, with [[video: …]] on its own line (how agent media requests work).

Brand reels — AI b-roll, your brand on top

The hybrid of the two: a generated clip finished with your brand’s deterministic title overlay (name, accent underline, tagline — literal Brand Kit values, always readable over the footage thanks to a brand-colored scrim).

• “make a brand reel of waves crashing saying ship faster”
• “generate a reel of the fortress at dawn” — tagline falls back to your Brand Kit’s tone
• “reel: neon skyline | command your agents”

The b-roll leg is the paid AI generation (budget + confirm card apply); the overlay leg is the free local render. Expect a few minutes end to end. Agents can request one with [[reel: subject | tagline]].

Good to know

• Renders are fully invisible — no browser window flashes up — and every video you generate starts playing the moment it lands on the canvas.
• Bumper renders run locally; Settings → Setup → “Brand video renders” shows whether this machine is ready.
• Generated clips need OPENROUTER_API_KEY (Settings → Agents → .env) and internet; the bumper works offline and free.
• Blending the two — generated b-roll inside brand-exact templates — arrives in a later milestone.
