Streaming control strip — reference
While Streaming Mode is on and a stream backend is connected, a compact strip floats above the bottom Streaming Mode badge. It shows OBS when OBS is connected, otherwise Streamlabs.
OBS strip
Section titled “OBS strip”| Control | Does |
|---|---|
| OBS label | Which backend the strip is driving |
| Scene dropdown | Switches the OBS program scene live |
| Mic buttons (one per input) | Mute/unmute that microphone — the icon shows the current state |
| Go Live / LIVE | Starts or stops streaming; LIVE glows while on air |
| Record / REC | Starts or stops recording |
Streamlabs strip
Section titled “Streamlabs strip”| Control | Does |
|---|---|
| SLOBS label | Backend indicator |
| Scene dropdown | Switches the active Streamlabs scene |
| Go Live / LIVE | Starts or stops streaming |
| Record / REC | Starts or stops recording |
Streamlabs has no mic buttons yet — audio addressing ships once verified against a live install.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The strip only exists in Streaming Mode; leaving the mode removes it (your normal layout returns).
- Everything the strip does is also visible in OBS/Streamlabs itself — it’s a remote control, not a replacement.
- Connection setup lives in OBS setup & control and Streamlabs setup.
