Issuing licenses (admin)
With a Master license activated, Mastery HQ can mint license codes for other users. There are two places to do it: Settings → License → Issue a license, and the Admin · issue a license panel on the sign-in screen (handy before any workspace is open).
Minting a code
Section titled “Minting a code”- Pick the type: Temporary (with a day count — default 14) or Permanent.
- Enter an account / name to bind the code to (defaults to
userif left blank). - Click Mint. The code appears in a copyable box below.
- Send the code to your user — as the UI says: Send the minted code to a user; they paste it into the activation screen.
The recipient activates by pasting the code at first launch; see license activation for their side of the flow.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Streaming Mode protects this surface. While streaming, minted codes are hidden (Minted code hidden while streaming — turn off Streaming Mode to view it.) and the account shown in the License tab is masked. If OBS is connected, opening this tab also triggers the privacy-scene guard.
- Temporary licenses show their expiry in the License tab, with a warning once 7 days or fewer remain.
- A Master license itself never expires and has no Deactivate button — it’s the anchor account for the install.
Frequently asked questions
Who can issue licenses?
Only an activated Master license shows the issuing controls. Regular Permanent or Temporary licenses can activate and deactivate themselves but cannot mint codes for others.
