The Reports pane (recurring reports)

Set up the reports you keep re-making — a weekly numbers digest, a monthly summary — once, and run them with a click. Open it with open the reports pane or from the command palette.

Give it a name, a cadence (daily / weekly / monthly), and a short brief of what to cover (the metrics, the source, the questions). Add it — it’s saved with the pane, and each one shows when it’s next due (or due now).

Run hands the report to a Reporter agent, which pulls the numbers, analyzes them (with the Data Lab), and writes the findings up in the Writer. Ask it to deliver and it can email the report or save it to Docs — always confirming with you before anything leaves your machine.

Reports run on demand (or when you open the pane and one is due). Automatic background firing — a report that mails itself every Monday with no clicks — is the planned next step; the schedule math and the pipeline are already here.

Frequently asked questions

Do reports run on their own in the background?

Not yet — today a report runs when you hit Run, and a schedule that has come due is flagged 'due now' when you open the pane. Fully automatic background firing is a planned follow-up. The delivery step (email / Docs) always confirms with you first.
