The setup wizard

The setup wizard runs on first launch (and any time from Settings → Setup). It does not ask for keys first. It asks what you want to make, and for each feature it says what you get and whether it is ready. A feature that is not ready is shown as dormant with the one thing that wakes it.

The steps

1. Your agents. Every agent CLI found on this PC is listed as ready. An agent signs in with its own account, so no key is needed. One that is missing is dormant, with its install command.
2. What do you want to make? Six questions, each with what it gives:
   • Images and reels for your projects (wakes with an OpenRouter key and a Gemini key)
   • Several models compared on one task, Model Council and Benchmark (an OpenRouter key)
   • Grok as a voice and a brain (an xAI key)
   • Agents working on GitHub repos (connect your account in Settings → GitHub, no key)
   • Docs and Sheets inside the workspace (connect your account in Settings → Google, no key)
   • Your own Spotify in the Music pane (a Spotify client ID, see Spotify) A dormant feature offers a link to the last step.
3. Models on your own machine. Ollama, LM Studio and Jan are found automatically. Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint can be added.
4. For developers: keys. OpenRouter, Gemini, xAI and the Spotify client ID. Paste what you have and leave the rest empty. Key fields are password-masked, and keys are written to Mastery HQ’s local .env and settings files on your machine - see Where your data lives.
5. Finish. Open a fresh agent window afterward so it picks up new keys.

Skip is always available and nothing is required.
