The AI Radar pane
AI Radar in Mastery HQ keeps a small, current pulse on the AI world without leaving your workspace: three curated sections — Model releases, AI company moves, and Key people + tools — each showing the two most-upvoted stories from roughly the last two weeks. Open it from the command palette (Open AI Radar).
Reading it
Section titled “Reading it”- Each story shows its title, points, comment count, and age (e.g.
▲ 341 · 120 comments · 2d ago); hover for a snippet. - Click a story and it opens inside Mastery HQ’s Browser pane, not your OS browser — your workspace stays intact.
- Refresh (top right) re-runs all three queries.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Stories are fetched live from the Hacker News search API — it’s public and needs no key, but the pane does need an internet connection. If a section can’t load you’ll see Couldn’t load — with the reason.
- Ranking is by votes, not recency alone, so a slow news day shows fewer (or zero) items rather than filler. No recent items means exactly that.
- The source line at the bottom says where everything comes from: Source: Hacker News · click a story to open it in the browser pane.
